About the Opportunity
Corporate Traveller is on the look out for an enthusiastic and energetic Business Development Manager to join their Ottawa team.
Working alongside our top performers, the right candidate will use their sales expertise to scout new leads, develop profitable client relationships, and secure fresh business opportunities.
The core responsibilities of this dynamic role include:
- Devising strategies and fostering corporate relationships to create and close sales opportunities;
- Achieving sales targets through cold-calling, face-to-face appointments, and networking;
- Staying ahead of market trends and industry developments, ensuring you're ahead of the competition; and
- Managing accounts and tracking client activity to maintain great customer service.
You will be working within a high performance team to reach targets and achieve incentives as you expand their client base.

No evenings or weekends will be required since your core working hours is from 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
About You
Corporate Traveller's high achieving Business Development Managers come from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, demonstrating a colourful spectrum of qualities and quirks. However, all have a knack for seizing new business opportunities and a talent for closing sales.
Consequently, to succeed in this role, you must possess an impressive track record of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
In addition, the successful candidate will need to be an effective communicator with the confidence and energy to develop a rapport with a diverse range of clients, both over the phone and during face to face meetings. Your persistence and creative approach shines through in your pitch as you develop profitable relationships with corporate clients.
Your insatiable appetite for sales along with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and convert cold calls to warm leads will help you succeed in this role. Basic computer and Internet literacy is a must, however if you regularly send and receive emails, visit websites, and can type reasonably quickly (even with two fingers) you'll be just fine.
Furthermore, as you will be joining a growing brand with global potential, you will need an endless supply of ambition that is backed by your sales expertise. Finally, far from being static, this varied position will see you travelling throughout your chosen region, sourcing fresh leads and closing business opportunities. Therefore, candidates should be flexible, independent, and available to travel when required.
About the Benefits
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive, performance-driven UNCAPPED salary package plus commission, with global career advancement and travel opportunities! We expect fully trained BDM's to be earning around $50,000 - $67,000 OTE in the first year!
